****Spoilers extended. If you are not completely caught up through all current episodes, then scram*****
Between newly “crowned” Queen Cersei, the Lady of Winterfell/Lemonade Beyoncé Sansa Stark, The Sailor of Ships Dany Targaryen, or “other”, who is Westeros’ most eligible bachelorette?
Stephen - With all due respect to those three heavy hitters, the most eligible bachelorette is "The Little Bear" Lyanna Mormont. I say that with the obvious caveat of when she comes of age, but it's Game of Thrones and King Tommen the Human Potato married Margaery when he was like 12, so we can suspend belief. She is already a straight boss and when she is of age and ready to marry, every little lord in the 7 kingdoms is going to be lining up. Can you imagine her in 10 years? She is still young and is already the dopest Lady since Lady Marmalade. The only problem is that she is going to have limited suitors, like Robin Arryn, who she will throw through a moon door instead of out it. She will have lands, titles, and be an effing legend. Who needs Dany and all of that Iron Throne drama? Stay cool in The North on Bear Island and steer clear of all those who are after the crown.
Todd - I would have to go with Dany. After she cleans house in Westeros and claims the Iron Throne, being the single lady that she is, all the lords of the land will be lining up with red roses to see who will be the last one standing. By all the lords, I am also including Yara Greyjoy.
Stephen G. - I’d have to go with Sansa. There’s something to be said for being a divorced/widowed 2 times over. I like that. I like danger. I like dangerous women. Her brother doesn’t die, and that’s cool. I want to figure out what’s going on there and see if I can’t get some of that invincibility potion magic stuff for myself.
Let’s say that you are Vegas and setting the gambling odds for “Who claims the Iron Throne at the end of the series”. Who is the odd on favorite?
Stephen - Jon Snow -110 favorite - I feel like the obvious choice here is Dany, but Vegas doesn't always role with the obvious choice. Vegas sets the line that will get the most action and although Dany has a lot of supporters, there is going to be a LOT of public money on Jon Snow. Who doesn't like the underdog anyway, and especially one that you've followed his entire career. From Stark Bastard, to Lord Commander, to King of the North and secret Targaryen, his trajectory is pointed sky high. Sure he got stabbed to death once, but don't let that get in the way. He's going to defeat the Night King and then ride South with visions of Iron Thrones in his head.
Todd - I’m rolling the dice on Dany here as well. I mean, how can you not say she is the odds on favorite?
- The massive barbarian horde.
- The skilled Unsullied.
- The Iron Isles refugees.
- The Sand Snakes
- The Tyrell's.
That’s pretty stacked. Just like when the undefeated New England Patriots were headed to the Super Bowl. Ummmm, damn.. I may need to think this over again. Nevermind, she has 3 dragons. **drops mic**
Stephen G. - Odds on favorite? Dany. I mean she has the dragons, and she has an army no one has ever faced before in Westeros. She also has probably the most cunning advisers to guide her to victory. She has more knowledge of the kingdoms of Westeros than they do of her. She also, at the moment, appears to have the element of surprise. Most of the major houses are just finishing up some conflict of their own. Not much seems to be standing in her way, but it’s a wide world out there and things are not always as they seem.
Who is someone that is currently in the middle of the pack that could surprise with a late surge to take the Iron Throne from one of the favorites?
Stephen - If a Bastard from Winterfell can be the favorite to the Iron Throne, then why rule out an Orphan Baker You're damn right I'm talking about everyone's favorite....Hot Pie! He was traveling with former Orphan and current killing machine Arya Stark, he was captured by the Lannister troops, and then spent time with the Brotherhood Without Banners. Tell me who knows more about the House to House politics and the way of the world more than Hot Pie? Give me the orphan baker! Give me the Hot Pie that was Promised!
Todd - Sam. Duh. True heir to House Tarly, wielder of Heartsbane, Master of Dragon Glass, Slayer of White Walkers, Rider of Gilley, Lord of the Buffet. That is about the same length list of names list as Dany’s.
Stephen G. - Bran. I don’t know if that’s something he would want to do, but he is the rightful heir to Winterfell, a major faction in Westeros. And let’s face it, if he wanted to, he could take control of that big black dragon of Dany’s, and probably fry everyone.
The magazine Westeros Weekly wants to put the newest “power couple” on their cover at the end of the GOT series. Who are they asking first?
Stephen - The most likely scenario when this is over is that Dany and Jon are married and rule the 7 kingdoms together. The problem is that calling them a power couple is like calling the sun bright. We get it. The couple that I think ends up together would be the couple that everyone would want to know more about....Tyrion Lannister and Sansa Stark. Nobody has more upside than Sansa right now who already has learned more about playing the game more than all of the other Stark's combined. She'll eventually want to marry and who is left to marry? Tyrion has proved he is honorable when they were married before and improved his station dramatically as Hand of the Queen. Tyrion deserves to find love and Sansa always wanted to get out of The North when she was a kid. She has a kind heart and knows what it's like to appreciate someone that will treat her nice. I'm calling it now that then end up together.
Todd - Tormund Giantsbane and Brienne of Tarth. They are just teasing it too much. It has to happen and we all want it to. Let’s be honest, Brienne has lost that lovin’ feeling and Tormund is the maverick that can bring it back to her.
Stephen G. - Bran (smiling sheepishly) and Dany (with her eyes glazed over for some reason) and her dragons (with their eyes glazed over).
