Please make that f**king song stop!!!
The song Easy Street will haunt my dreams for the near future. Along with that song haunting my dreams will be crying Daryl Dixon face that resurfaced Sunday. We haven't seen crying Daryl Dixon face since Beth died and thank goodness because it's hard to take. Episode 3 was a strange mix of staying in a tight spot and expanding what we already know and some good character development. Dwight was feeding Daryl several shit sandwiches, but we learned later in the episode that Negan has been shoving shit sandwiches down his throat for a while now. Dwight and the former Mrs. Dwight/current Mrs. Negan have had a rough go of it, but Daryl appears to be doing Daryl Dixon things and do you really see him being broken by Negan? Sure, something has to give at some point, but it has the makings of one of them helping him escape.
So far this season, we have had 3 episodes and 3 different locations/stories. This week was the best of those, by far, in developing characters and later we will learn weaknesses, but it appears as though next week will start to tie some of the story lines together. Negan has Daryl, he's clearly in charge, and now he is going to check on the status of Scared Rick. I'm calling it now that Scared Rick will immediately get old and unbelievable and everyone will be rooting for everyone to square off with Negan for an Anchorman style battle royale. That's note going to happen anytime soon though, so get ready for some annoying shit from Rick and the rest of the crew getting mad at him for being a broken coward. They really want to run up the "everyone hates Negan and wants him dead" score, much the same way that Game of Thrones had you openly rooting for a child to be murdered....twice. Either way, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is staying put for quite some time.
Dead so far this season
RIP Sgt. Abraham Ford
RIP Glenn Rhee
Most Likely to Die Next
The current Mrs. Negan is going to do something dumb, right?
The kid hanging around Morgan is going to get it.
Punchy McDickhead in the back of the truck is definetely getting murdered soon.
The Walking Dead Pool Standing
- Jen - 47
- Stephen - 46
- Ronnie - 13
Typically there aren't any deaths (major ones) unless it's an event week, but does that change this season? It feels like more than the norm will be happening this year, but it's hard to tell. I'm actually worried about Daryl for the first time ever this year too. Something has to happen, but who knows how it will end.
